Vice President, General Superintendent /Safety Director
Ed oversees a number of activities that play a critical role in enabling consistently on time, on budget delivery of high-performance projects. His responsibilities include jobsite safety training, quality control, crew scheduling, project detailing, and manpower allocation. The company's safety record over the past few years provides ample evidence of Ed's success as a safety trainer and advocate. In 2011, the company worked 400,000 man hours without a single recordable incident. His success at training and educating field personnel about the necessity of safe work practices led the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) in conjunction with the IBEW to recognize Dynalectric as "Safe Contractor of the Year" in 2007, 2010, and 2011.
Ed has over 27 years of experience in the electrical industry, 25 of them with Dynalectric. During that time, he has held foreman, general foreman, superintendent, and general superintendent/safety director positions. Prior to taking his current post, he was Dynalectric's vice president, field logistics, and safety director. A member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers' Local 48 and NECA's Oregon Columbia Chapter, he has been certified as a licensed electrical supervisor in Oregon and a master electrician in the state of Washington. In 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2011, he participated in the OSHA 500 "Train the Trainer" program.
The Personal Side
Ed is a passionate Oregon Ducks fan. When he's not working, he can usually be found at the University of Oregon cheering on his team with his wife and two children, one of whom is currently a student there and the other is an alumnus. He also finds time to be a triathlete and marathon runner.
